The Tour

Since 1972 the Elvis Travel Service has been taking fans to Memphis and beyond. Innitially to see Elvis in Concert, both in the showroom setting of Las Vegas or on the road - indeed we even saw the last two shows that Elvis did - in Cincinnati and Indianapolis but since then, every year we have made the annual trip - pilgrimage even - to Tupelo and Graceland to join in with the Elvis Week celebrations of his life and music and then, for those with time to spare, we've travelled on to other destinations associated with Elvis.

This year is no exception and so after a wonderful visit to Tupelo and a fascinating

(and busy!) time in Memphis we offer the option of heading ff across the Arkansas

flatlands to Fort Chaffee where Elvis was inducted into the US Army, spending a night

in the one-time frontier town of Fort Smith, before driving south to the city of Shreveport.

It was here that Elvis spent a year of Saturday nights on the renowned Louisiana Hayride -

the 2nd most popular radio show in America and it was this, probably more than anything,

that spread the word about his unbelievable talent.

Remember the Grand Ol' Opry (which was the 1st most popular music show at the time)

didn't think that Elvis was right for them - silly boys!

You'll be able to step on stage of the Municipal Auditorium where Elvis performed and

explore this city before the next few day's wonderful journey south via Baton Rouge and

a glorious plantation homefinally arriving into the exciting 'King Creole City of New Orleans.

And then we'll have more fun!!
